So.. the new forums at Sierra are up :( The Emperor forum is located here. Give it a try, you might like it there (unlike me)

Things to note: BreakAway Chuck is Fire Monkey there, and BreakAway Tomb Robber is Gobi Bear.

First thing posted there by Gobi Bear is a bit on the heroes, check it on my heroes page.

If you frequent the Impressions forums, you have probably noticed this post by Itchy:

Be aware that we will be migrating these forums over to http://community.sierra.com/ within the next few days. Once the migration is complete, the forums here at Impressions will remain open for about another week, but will close down. From that point on, all forums for Impressions titles will be supported at http://community.sierra.com/

Now if there's one message board system I hate.. Sierra's forums are way worse than the Impressions forums :( And how about all those thousands of posts in the forums? Will they be moved over or not?

Second, GameSpot changes its services: you will have to pay for most things on their site, including (p)reviews :( Check the announcement here.
Here's a piece of what non-paying folks get:

GameSpot Basic, our free service, will offer critical content for free for every one of the thousands of games on our site, including screenshots, hints, pricing info, GameSpot review scores, reader reviews, and more. In addition, we will continue to offer free access to our new content for seven days after its publication.

That means checking their site at least twice a week for news :(

After winning my first Golden Web Award for my other site, the Citadel of Poseidon, I decided to submit this site too. Just few minutes ago I got the results:

April 18, 2002 - Update on screenshots (no, no new ones yet..)

When Sierra gets around to posting some/any/all of the new screenshots that we've sent them (weekly for the past month or two) I unfortunately do not know. I do know, however, that we (as in BreakAway Games) will have something pretty darn exciting for ya'll ...hopefully before the end of the month.

Hmm, I wonder what that "pretty darn exciting" is..

April 17, 2002 - Nothing new really

Nothing major to update.. the last 2 weeks have been quiet.
A few small updates: on heroes (how do I get one to my city?), farms (irrigation and employment), trade (summary how trade will be done) and in the misc section: info about the palace.

Now where are those new screenshots they promised us?!

April 7, 2002 - New preview

A new preview on Gamez.cz in Czech. Well, not that new anymore and there isn't really anything new in there, but worth noting. If you don't know Czech, you can read a translation here, thanks Luke!

Furthermore, nothing new going on on the forums, some more information about forts and a tidbit about the editor but that's all.

Hmm.. I wonder when we'll be seeing new screenshots..
